It's like they are a bunch of chimpanzees, LM.
I call in today to check on the part and they say it's discontinued. they did this with a cable I ordered too. Except with the cable i waited patiently for weeks with no word before i called them and they told me. Of course they had taken the money from my card already, and had no intent of calling me and letting me know. This is a large honda store, i'd expect a higher quality of service.

So now i have to look at alternatives... i'll check ebay I guess, and if anyone has one of these short head bolts, that'd be great.

I may take you up on that, currently I just went out and bought a similar sized bolt and grinded the head down to the same size.
if that doesn't work, i'll let you know. thanks!

well, we have a vintage automobile show/parade in my home town coming up on friday so i was hoping to get a response soon. And thank you for that response, however, while sitting out back fiddling with the cb77 i heard my neighbors using a grinder.. so i grabbed a bolt, moseyed on over, and asked if i could use it. prior to the post being made, i didn't think that a grinder was an option as mine is 2 hours away at the pops house.
