Right cylinder not firing properly (old new subject)

Hi, Guys and gals. Again I must peruse your multi-faceted talents. After messing with this thing for months, I still cannot get the right side to fire like the left. Timing is on, as a matter of fact the left cylinder does not seem to care where its timing is set, it just runs, runs, and runs. On the other side I am getting sput, sput during the firing. The right side does not heat up the muffler, and I can tell its not firing right. The right side seems still a little rich, even tho I think I have the needles in the fourth from the bottom position right now. Even so, this does not answer the question of why the left runs fine and the right does not like me for some reason. Spark jumps a 1/4" gap on a tester. I just rechecked the timing again and it is right on, yet still the often misfire on the right side. Any clues that might guide me in maybe another direction, besides crazy.

Jim Stuart, I remember this discussion. So it sounds like you have good enough ignition, how about removing the carb on the right and tear it down for a good cleaning. Have you checked compression on the "bad" cylinder? O, by the way I just love your movies. I think "It's a wounderful life" is your best. Kustommusic

Hi Guys. Yes I really tried hard in all the movies. Its a lot of work you know.
Anyway, compression is 160# on the cylinder. Cleaned carbs until I am blue in the face. I did have a lot of trouble with the low speed jets cause of a nasty fuel tank. Guess I will have to pull it again. Don't know what else it could be.
