Repop Badges on Ebay 50 bucks

What about $50 a pair for plastic tank badges?
Sometimes thing just seem too good to be true.
This is not one of those times.
Saw these (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 0211109018) on Ebay last week so I decided that I'd chance a shuck for a couple of pairs just to find out. And by the way just how bad can they be for the money when the other repops are bringing $200 +++++
Well the bid closed the 4th. I paid right away.

Guess what?

They showed up in my mail box 1800 miles away this morning.

Not perfect, but pretty close.

I'd rate a 5 footer at the worst and thats sitting next to a perfect badge.

Thought I'd pass this along.

My badges came in the mail today. Those badges are BEAUTIFUL. I don't have any Honda originals to compare them to, but I don't see how they could possibly be better. $50???? Double that would have been a good deal.

I just received a set of "Honda 300" repro badges from Ray at RRHByrne@aol.com and they are pretty decent. They were $50.00 including mounting screws and shipping. He says he has plenty of CB/CL77 badges, CB/CL72 are available soon and the Dream badges are at the molders. The mounting hole pattern was about 1/2 a hole short so I had to elongate them (he ususally does that) but it's unnoticeable after installation.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm actually looking into getting some myself. I just picked up a 62' CB77, which needs some new badges. The current ones are warped and bow out about 1/2" in the center in addition to some scratches on them.

SLOW heat them with a heat gun. once you get them to lay flat, polish the scratched/scuffed surface with acetone.

I just got the badges from Byrne as well..I think they look great! for about the same price as the metal HONDA ones from Honda, which I wasn't digging the look of.....
