Camchain problem CB77Camchain problem CB77Hello, Newbie here. I own an 64 ca77 that I restored back in 1982. At that time I bought a "parts bike" basket case cb77. Not a good match so it has sat for 26 years. My youngest son is now 17 and wants to restore it together. Both bike and I are a bit rusty. In pulling the head off I discoved the cam chain was full of hard black rubber pieces. The tentioner was off the bike (in the basket) looks normal. I can see a rubber wheel on a short 2 inch axle. Is this whats left? and how do I get to it.?
Thanks, Lee P.S. the Dream is still running fine. I also have 2 complete cb160's. One was my wifes bike the other was for parts but is 90% intact[/list]
Re: Camchain problem CB77That wheel is mounted the the top engine case with a 6mm bolt on both sides. You will need to remove the head and the cylinders to get to it. .............lm
RIDE IT DON'T HIDE IT!
All you remove is the head and cylinder assy to get to the wheel but I would think you will have neoprene bits in the crank and gear area. . ................lm

The size of the piston is on the top dome. If you clean the dome and don't find any numbers ( std .25, .50 etc) it will be standard size. Western Hills Honda in Ohio may have that part. ..................lm
