Piston Wrist Pin RemovalPiston Wrist Pin RemovalDoes anyone have any neat tricks for removing the wrist pins that hold the pistons on? I have removed the cir-clips and the pins move but seem to be interference fit. I heard once that you are supposed to heat up the piston so it expands and then slide the pins out, but this was on a big car engine. Does this apply or is there a better way?

Thanks in advance.
Re: Piston Wrist Pin Removalthe piston pins are a floating type and after removing the circlips should slide out.. hope that helps..
Re: Piston Wrist Pin RemovalMake a puller from threaded rod and different size washers. Put a BIG washer over the piston on the 'tightening side', install a nut and tighten away. The piston pins are not a real interference fit.
