Clutch disks CB77

Post by tore » Thu Sep 12, 2024 3:35 am

Hi

I have a box with various clutch disks for CB77 of several years. The base disk seems to have several variants as well as the fiber disks.
Any idea how do figure which fit together?
Is the clutch center same for all years?

There are about half a dozen different clutch assemblies used over the years. Here is a parts manual from American Honda that seems to be the latest made. The engine serial number ranges (without the leading CB77E) are given just under the part numbers.

Unfortunately I don't have the knowledge of how to determine what you have assuming you have no part numbers for your discs and I don't know how interchangeable they are.

there are 3mm 3.7mm and 4mm thick fibre disks. The bottom metal disk I have got has two different thickness. Without better knowledge I installed the thicker steel one and the thinner fibre ones. Filled up the clutch basket. Looks ok.
