Frozen?
Whoops! Well I couldnt get the left side engine cover off (the screw were rounded out so badly) to really get a good look in there. I did how ever get the oil pump off and it came off pretty easy. The entire right side cover came off so easilly its a sin. My dad was amazed because he cant get the screws off of his 1978 550 and my bike is 15 years older. Boyertown Chapter I had to chisel off a few screws on some left side covers also.I bought a $8.00 impact at Harbor freight which was a big help in getting even some rounded screws off.If the bit could get any kind of bite on the screw a good wack usually loosned it.When you pulled the oil pump you should be able to see the cam chain and sprocket if I'm not mistaken.[/code]
Well i guess I cheeted...
Instead of buying a whole cam chain I found out that Kiss, a local dealer, had a master link NOS from 40 years ago. Big plus is that it came with one extra link so if I screw up I have some type of replacement. later days preston Hi-Rollers Vehicle Club President
