New Dream Owner, engine question (revised)

Post by Dogsbd » Mon May 22, 2006 10:10 am

Just bought a 305 Dream. I don't know much about these bikes, other than that my father owned one back in the early 70's and that is the reason I bought one.

What can anyone tell me about the engine from this serial number:

CA77E 1036627

Thanks in advance, I'm sure this is just the first of many questions I'll have.

Edit: I just realized that the serial number starts CA77E not CA776.

According to an excellent article by Bill Silver on dating the CB/CL/CA 72/77 bikes, the seven digit engine & frame numbers commence in 1965, so your bike is a '65 or later model.......
