Secret for installing the oil spinner?

Post by GG » Fri Sep 16, 2011 8:17 pm

We need the help of the pro's out there! There MUST be a simple way to install the oil spinner, but I haven't found it yet (after 20 years!) I end up with an aching back every time. Am I the only one? Even though the spinner doesn't collect that much junk from oil change to oil change, I just like things clean. So I clean out the spinner every time. But it would be a nicer job if I could just plop it in easily.

My faith in Honda's engineering is still high, as is my faith in those who have figured it out! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP THIS DUMMY!

I think I've only replaced it once without removing the side cover. That was mostly luck I think. I seem to recall using a small rod to position the chain while manuvering the chain, but its been a while. Good luck
