CL77 Engine

Post by Mrburnn » Thu Dec 28, 2017 10:30 pm

Good evening everyone, hope Christmas was an enjoyable holiday for all!

I am just about ready to put the engine of my 1967 CL77 back into the frame but I have a couple of final questions to double check my work. The metal breather shield plate below the cylinder head cover has an arrow which I have assumed points to the front of the engine, correct? Also, can someone tell me the purpose of the (stripped head) screw in the first picture? I'm thinking it is used in conjunction with an electric starter for the CB77 and not applicable to the CL77. Does this also seem to be correct?

Thanks for reading my posts. Have a safe and happy new year!!
