how to unstick a frozen 305 superhawk motor

hello I'm new to this sight I just bought a 63 honda super hawk but the motor seems to be locked up ,I got it from the origanal owner he told me it ran good when he parked it about ten years ago ,Ive got the plugs out and put oil down there but have not had any luck, any help help there

I also picked up a '63 which sat in a carport more or less for 25 years and was frozen. I put the engine on a stand and removed the head, squirted Liquid Wrench in the cylinders, let it soak in for a day and used heat from a propane torch (carefully) and tapped the piston top with a piece of hardwood. I did this over and over for a few days then drove 6 very thin hardwood wedges between the cylinder and crankcase and tapped them in slowly over a few more days adding more liquid Wrench and applying heat all the while trying to turn the crank and tapping the piston crown trying to set up some vibration. Try this for a couple more weeks and you will hear a pop and the piston will move about an eighth of an inch but you're on the home stretch, good luck!

I’ll give it a try I’ve got nothing to lose, I was told vinegar was good for that as well ?? right now I’ve got kerosene and oil sitting in crank case and PB plaster done plugs holes . I know it won’t be a quick fix. I was watching a u tube video I learned the kick starter went forward not back ward like other bike yes I’m a rookie

Get a few freinds over.

Sit on the bike and put it in gear. Rock the bike back and forth or you can get it rolling and dump the clutch..

More than likely you will still need to tear down even if you get it broke free and running .

If it doesn't break free this way its not gonna.

I would give that a try but I think I might have a tranny problem as well it clicks when I push if forward I cant get the tranns to switch to any gear ,might be another problem I will have to work on which might look like total tear down

The clutch might be stuck. Try the "roll it" method, anyway, it won't hurt.

As for a rebuild - if I could do it, you can! All is not lost.

Hi rpennywitt,

I unstuck my 305 Dream engine by soaking in motor oil down spark plug holes for six months. I removed side cover, wrapped stator in old inner tube, put on a chain wrench and using a breaker bar began to "carefully" move it back and forth. Broke free in short order.

Do this only if you are "wisely" confident and very careful. Breaking the crank would make for a bad day.
