Oil to use cl77Oil to use cl77Hello to all from warren Michigan ive just started working on a honda cl77 305 scrambler and not sure what type of oil is recomended i know this is a personal preferance thing but just wanted to know what my options are I have an 85 goldwing that i use 10w40 in and wondering can i just use that or am i supposed to use a 30wt non detergant oil can't find any info on the internate about this thanks to all for the help Keith
Works for meHi, Keith.
I have always used 10W40 in the summer in Ontario and year-round in Florida. Sometimes I used 10W30 in the winter in Ontario, but I really didn't ride a lot then, so sometimes I didn't change to the lighter grade. Remember to look at the circle on the side of the container, and DO NOT USE oil that says "ENERGY CONSERVING" because that contains stuff that will likely make your clutch slip. You probably know that already; your name suggests great charisma and intelligence. Good luck! Keith
