after market valves

Post by bk305 » Fri Mar 24, 2006 7:17 am

hi joe-just wanted to let you know my experiences using aftermarket valves. my first run after rebuilding my engine resulted in one broken (snapped) intake valve! thinking this must only be a fluke, i left the other 3 in only to have the same thing happen to the other new intake valve. (what are the odds having this happen again snapping in the same spot (the recessed collet area). anyway... i'm back using the originals lapping them in, hopefully this will do it!? p.s. i know there are good repo valves out there but... oh well, better luck next time- good luck on your rebuild- bk
