S'Hawk change to a Dream

Post by roadcapDen » Fri Apr 29, 2011 1:45 pm

Howdy,

Can I use a Dream head on my SuperHawk engine so that I would only have 1 carb instead of 2?
This engine is in my Dream body so the carb fitup would be better.

Thanks,
Den

Den, yes but make sure the cams are set up for your engine configuration, 180 vs 360 degree crank. If you use the cams that are in the head that's already on the engine, that will work.

How about some pics of the CB engine mounted in the Dream?
I've contemplated doing that myself, but wondered about carb fitment issues.

a friend of mine tried to do it a while back and had the whole thing mocked up but gave up when he realized what the air cleaners were going to look like. It involves turning the intake manifolds out to clear the frame (or cutting the frame, a bad idea on the dream). now a single carb on a 180 crank/cams? hmm. weren't there some police bikes with that setup?
