starter chain slack?

what's acceptable slack? Looks to be about 20mm slack and just about to rub along the bottom.

btw, I like how the rotor of my 1966 CB77 has "Cb72" stamped on it

Agreed. If the chain moves with the engine running then there's a problem with the starter clutch.

All rotors are CB72-stamped.

The one in my CA77 was rubbing on the bottom. I picked up a NOS RK chain and I'm going to use it when I reinstall the starter. The rubbing is on the slack side and only happens when the starter is running so I would think it's really no big deal other than a sign of stretching (or maybe sprocket wear).
