how much compression should be comming through the top breather hose?there seems to be alot comming through mine and i'm a little concerned. the head gasket is new and so are the rings.

what would be the source of the breather air flow?

Did you put new rings in old bores? You might need to get the bores honed in order to get the rings to bed in properly.

Have you got all of the seals in place around the head gasket. There may be leakage into the oil ways between head and barrel. You are pressurizing the crankcase one way or another, you just have to check which.
