CA77 Spark Question

Post by JeffW » Sat Feb 28, 2009 2:46 pm

Hello All,

I am not sure if this is a dumb question or not but.........do both spark plugs spark at the same time regardless of piston position?

By the way I am new to this forum as well as motorcycles in general. I was timeing the points per Ed's instructions and had both plugs out and noticed they both sparked at the same time when I slowly rotated the engine.

I purchased a non running bike, motor turns over with some compression (120 psi each side) I figured that was enough to get it to fire.

Any response is appreciated.
Jeff

They both fire at the same time at top dead center.
