???????????6mm "special nut and sealing washer"

Post by eyedragaknee » Sun Feb 08, 2009 8:33 am

Bolting case halves together on a CL77 and the books call for a special nut and sealing washer on one of the 6mm studs next to the oil pump outlet. Anybody have a pic of where this actually goes and what it looks like and if a standard nut with a shoulder and a sealing washer wouldn't work as well.

Thanks

The nut is that tall one with the closed end and the washer is aluminum. ...........lm

Here's apic of special nut. A tall acorn nut will probably do the same thing. Try an auto parts store for a pack of 6mm aluminum sealing washers.

That is NUTS

Thanks guys. I can make one now.

What were they thinking? Just wanted to make a nut with a flat bottom to take a washer and that is what they came up with?
