72/77 starter sprocket oil seal needed

Post by e3steve » Fri May 09, 2008 2:16 pm

Guys, can anyone help me with a new 91208-259-000 oil seal please? No luck in classifieds (with anything!). It's the only thing preventing me from riding now....

Regards to all,

Steve

Steve, have you tried a local bearing and seal supplier? You need the three numbers on the seal, such as 12 25 7, and they should be able to get you one.

Thanks davo. Oddly enough, I was thinking the very same thing as I posted the request. I got my front wheel bearings from an industrial supplier here in Palma. €26 the pair! Result. I think I'll try them again for the seal.
Good of you to post so quickly; thanks again.

Rgds,
Steve

Thanks for that nutt. I'll email Ed again if I have no luck locally.

Christ Almighty, I'm so bloody green sometimes! I didn't even consider that the seal might just be a generic size until I posted the first Q in this series. I got some today; several, in fact. As quick as you like at the bearing supplier that I used previously.
If anyone needs one (or more), let me know. Cheap as chips. How much are they from WHH, nutt?
Thanks to davomoto for pointing out something that I should have worked out for myself. I'm such an arse at times!
