I remember reading either in Ed Moore's book or somewhere, that if the 305 engine starts without choke, you have something wrong. But, it was never elaborated on. What is the problem or problems when it will start with no choke??
Thanks,
Jim
C.B.77 starts without choke
Re: C.B.77 starts without chokeI didn't say that but usually it's to ruch. .............lm
Make sure the correct carb slides are in the correct carbs. They can be reversed which leaves the slides' cutaways facing into the inlets; that makes it run very rich and will double the fuel consumption. It also allows the bike to easily start with no choke.
Remove the air filters and look down the carbs; you should see about a 2 or 3mm gap at the bottom of each slide. Regards, Steve
