Camshaft removal help!

Al,
I think I was confusing on my post, I need to get it out but couldn't get it back in to get the advancer out but now I'll know how to get it back together. Now to get those damn bearings going.

Both cams come out after you have (as you show) loosened/in your case removed the large nut on the right side and loosened the nut/threaded shaft on the left side.
Just knock them out.
Reassembly is similar but you must look at how you align the cams to the sprocket.

The bearings are NOT coming out with tapping.

Haha I thought so too, I'm supposed to get the first bearing out correct? And then put the second bearing into the tunnel and tap it out correct?

I meant the bearings ARE NOT coming out with tapping. I was writing fast while cursing the bike. Haha

They will come out if you use a soft metal at the high lobe of the cam.
If the inside one stays in the head place the soft metal at the outside of the bearing and tap it out. ...............lm
