top end reassembly) how do i tell if sprocket is centered ?

What's not clear.
Assemble ALL PARTS tight to each other.
Install the end caps and the CAM IS CENTERED. ......lm

LM, I'm not sure what part he doesn't get.

Your explanation is absolutely spot and and much clearer than if I had written it.

The hole shebang is designed to have little or no play and is essentially self centering, and since I'm self centered, that's probably just as well. ........ :-)

However I am a bit worried about the Dutchman!. :-)
Unfortunately there is literature out there from a highly respected author that deals with a long process of centering the cams.
As we all know "once it's in Black N White IT'S Gospel".

I hoped ya would get a kick from that.
I now have 1 more complete set of rings for ya but the other box has 3 rather than 6 rings.
Here I go again!!!!!!!!!!!!!. .........lm
