As the title, I need to remove dynamo rotor so was wondering what the recommended method was to lock the engine to undo the dynamo rotor bolt?
Thanks Greg

Greg

Just whack the spanner and the inertia of the crank will be enough.

Also, if the stator is removed, you can use a strap wrench to hold the rotor, then loosen the bolt. Regards, Chase

Thanks G and CK.
Snapped the last strap wrench I had , must get a replacement.
Whacking it worked fine.
