different piston rings

just learning about the different rings on a ca77.so i bought 13040-266-000 rings and they were too fat.so i need 13040-275-000.but i see 13042-275-000 will also fit but they are chrome.so what is the difference between the regular and the chrome.any help would be greatful thanks

Generally, Chrome rings will last longer but may take longer to 'bed in'

I also bought the fatter ones but a good machine shop i have used before ground them down for me
