my cb77 has had a problem idling (the left carb pops at low speed idle no matter what the air screw is set at). i had checked the compression on both sides (with the throttle wide open) and found right side @ 155# and the problem leftside @ 140#. it wasn't until today that i decided to recheck the compression with the throttle closed and was surprised to find the leftside down to only 80# !! now i'm thinking with the throttle closed, it is blowing back out of the exhaust valve? ( i did check the tappet clearence on only the exhaust and it it was ok). do you think i need a valve grind since it had good readings when cranked with no restrictions?? thanks for any suggestions- bk
