Cylinder Head Installation

Post by Raceman » Thu May 01, 2014 11:13 am

I will be assembling the top end of a cl77 soon. This morning I tried to confirm that I have everything needed. The 90441 259 000 copper washers that go in the 4 corners of the head cover plate supersede to 90441 286 000 and are not copper. Honda calls these sealing washers and I have an ample supply of them. Should I use them or use copper washers which I also have. Second question, the breather plate as it came off the engine had both packings(gaskets) on one side of the plate, while the parts book shows one packing on each side of the plate. I am assuming the parts book is correct. Advice please.

The parts book is correct.
Aluminum Top, Solid gasket, Metal Plate, Open gasket.
Top Gasket and Metal Plate need the to oval drain holes toward the exhaust.
Use copper if you have them. ............lm
