Did you examine the low gear bushing or replace it while it was apart.I know it is late to ask, but just saw the post.

Yes the low gear bushing was checked and ok.

ok-Just wondering did you glass bead the case?Is it painted?I have one torn apart now and have yet to finish the cases.

when I look at your tranny installed it makes me wonder if I am missing a bushing, the brass one you have sticks out like a sore thumb. I thought I had the right one but mine is under everything. Am I missing something?

It would seem the one you're concerned with is in the lower left corner of your pic. Could simply be a difference of manufacturing material. Mine's not brass colored either.
