lock ring tool

Is there a substitute for the four prong lock nut on the primary gear? Larger in diameter than the CB350 tool.
Not having much luck with the local Honda dealer

I don't know. I must admit I used the narrow end of a tack hammer struck with a mallet to remove mine. Here is a website that shows how to make a tool for this type of nut out of a socket:
