Starter clutch noise

Post by 56_oval » Thu Mar 24, 2011 10:18 pm

I've been riding the hawk for a few days now and have noticed that the starter clutch seems to make noise at high engine rpm. I kindda like having a starter, but I'm afraid I might be destroying it.
Any suggestions?

Starter Clutch noise

DON'T keep running it. If the bushing in the starter sprocket is going out, it can ruin the end of your crank.

Springs may be shot in the clutch causing the noise.
