Head gasket

Post by azduc » Mon Jan 03, 2011 11:51 am

Can someone help me with a head gasket for my 305? I need to know the thickness of a stock gasket so I can have one made of copper. This engine was built in the late 60's to dirt track and has been resleeved to 350cc so I can't use any honda gasket, hence, the copper gasket. Thanks in advance.

Copper gasket thickness that will serve you well is .040" or 1mm. It will serve you well. Jerry

Another option would be to contact Cometic for one of their H0157SP5043F head gaskets. These are a modern composite design, with a proper fire ring installed, and will accomodate up to a 65mm bore. Regards, Chase
