Going to get the carbs on today and try to find a smaller jet for them.

Smaller jets? Why? Are you putting on a more restrictive exhaust than stock?

I am very much a noob here, however I have been attempting to read the available literature.

My impression from Bill Silver and other authors is that at altitude, smaller jets are useful to compensate for the thinner atmosphere.

Does that sound reasonable?

Yes, you do need to lean out jetting for higher altitudes.

This is a fine web site. I will be asking questions which reflect inexperience for the near future.

Thank you
