Teazer, thanks for the clarification! The wide tensioners are early, narrow late.

Did the tensioner change at the same time as the oil feed or was it later/earlier than that?

much later. The oil feed was in 62 I believe, the tensioner in 66.

Thanks guys, you cleared up another thing which I was wondering about. Now I know how the eight hole gets oil up to the rockers and cam. Via the single stud hole.

Thanks teazer, you got it right I think. I finally found the original thread and now understand the oil system a bit more. Thanks to all concerned and we'll call this one finished.
