Any tips?

I drained the oil in my CL77 today after about 100 miles on the rebuild. It really looked good and clean with very few metallic particles. Here is my question to those of you who have been dealing with these bikes longer than me. Is there an easy trick to getting the oil slinger back into the primary side opening that doesn't involve using a large amount of curse words. I have the later style side case with the wide hole and it is still a b$#@h to get it centered with chain on and the shaft pin set at 12 O'Clock. I did find that if you put the slinger in first, and use a long thin screwdriver to set the chain, then insert the shaft, it will go after about 15 times. Is there a trick to this I am missing.

Me, too. You'll get better with practice, should eventually be able to do it on the first attempt.
