Starting problemStarting problemJust wondering if anyone can shed some light on a problem thats just started on my dad's 1966 cb72, when you try to start it on the electric starter every now and then the starter makes a very horrible noise (hard to describe) and the kick start jumps around too, when this problem started it also brought up another problem with the kick start itself, sometimes it spins the engine over fine, the next time it just seams to "slip" past everything?
Iv had the right hand side case off but everything seams fine in there although i can see where the starter motor chain is hitting the casing (possibly the noise?) Any ideas? Thanks for any help at all. Chris
Re: Starting problemI'd check the rollers and springs on the back side of the rotor. .............................lm

It wears out. Also the kick shaft can wear where the roller bearings are located and this can/will cause the jumping you mention. ........lm
