Engine strip

Post by toastyhamster » Tue Feb 17, 2009 10:22 am

I'm about to start the strip down of my CB72 engine.

Not having worked on a 4 stroke before are there any tips on anything it's useful to do before disturbing timings chains etc? Also if somebody could post a "how to" on valve timing that would be great.

Currently just planning on doing a top-end refurb, but that all relies on finding no problems on a motor that's not run for nearly 30 years...

Thanks

Buy Bill Silvers engine repair manual available through this site. I have done many four stoke engine rebuilds, and I could not have properly rebuilt these engines without it!
