What do you think about these case cracks?

Post by bj » Mon Sep 01, 2008 2:36 pm

I found these in the upper crank case when I was working on the clutch. They don't seem to be all the way through. Is this a problem if they don't leak oil to the outside of the engine?
If you click on the pic it will enlarge, than click on it again to see it even bigger.

Thanks,

Bryan

Casting imperfections. They're everywhere, if you look hard enough. You'll find them inside the clutch side cover too. Don't lose sleep over it!

Thanks,

Now, if I could only get it to run right!

You can, I'm sure. Go here: http://www.honda305.com/superhawk/
click on FAQ in the left pane and then on
Q. How do I tune my factory stock motor on my CB72/77 or CL72/77 for optimum performance?
for Ed's recipe. It works -- unless you have drastic problems!

Thanks,

I've tried his recipe with no luck. I've got her running, just not that great. My troubles have been recorded on another thread.
