I just bought it. It was a one owner bike, and is totally stock. It has (oh, boy) 89,500 miles on it. Mechanically it's mostly sound, but cosmetically, it's a bit of mess. The saddle has a tear, the radiator is bent, the taillight lens is cracked, the rear cowl is all sorts of scratched up, the gas tank is faded and there are some minor paint chips here and there, there is a scrape on the rear header pipe, the left mirror is scuffed, the left side of the instrument casing is scuffed, there are minor boo-boos on the headlight rim, and there is corrosion on the many aluminum parts just about everywhere. Nothing I can't handle, though. Mechanically, it runs well, except it stumbles off of idle, it idles too high, and it idles erratically. I'm thinking the intake manifolds are probably cracked, and I'm sure the carburetors will need cleaning. Everything else appears to be good. It shifts smoothly, it leaks no oil, the oil in it is clean, the chain, tires and brakes are very good, and it's been kept up with service wise.
If I could just get on the Hawk GT Forum, I'd start a blog over there!

Graham, thank you!
I refuse to be seen on a grungy, damaged bike, though. It. Must. Be. Detailed. (Me and my OCD!)
