CB160 fork seals

I picked up a pair of oil seals because one side leaks a little. I've checked out the shop manual, looks like I should be able to change them out. Has anyone done this that could give me pointers? Like "don't do it, you will never get it back together right." LOL Thanks

OOps, Sorry, didn't see the CB160 in your subject line. Do you have a manual for it?

Never done a CB160 but shouldn't be much different than other bikes.

Gotta drain the forks, pull the front wheel and associated cables.

Not sure what type of sliders a CB 160 has.

Got any pics?

Also, what year????

I have the diagram but I'm not sure if it's ok to post it. I down load the shop manual...been looking for one of those for years. But the procedures are kind of sketchy.

If I may ask where did you download the shop manual? I am about to aquire a cb160 and it would come in handy. Thanks

In answer to your question concerning the fork seals, just get in there and start tearing it apart. Take your time be cautious and you will figure it out by trial and error. There is not a lot to mess up in those forks.

This method has worked for me for 34 years and I rarely break anything. Wish I could help you more if you wait a few months I will let you know how it's done once I get mine.
