Hi all,

I have some aluminium rear shock covers (two top covers and one lower cover), I'm sure these where from a CB72 / CB77, I thought these where always made of steel. All other shock covers I have are steel, does anyone know the right part number for the shock which have the aluminium shock covers ?

Any help would be appreciated,

Jensen

Thanks again LM,

Did only the CB72 have this aluminium rear shock covers ?, or are there also CB77's and CL72 / 77 riding around with aluminium shock covers ? How early are we talking here LM, do you have a range of frame numbers for me ?

Does anyone has pictures of a aluminium front fender ? I've never seen one yet.

CB72.
Very EARLY but no frame number data for them or when the tops were changed from steel to plastic either.
No actual visible difference in the fenders. ...........lm.

Hi,

thanks LM, again, this aluminium lower cover seems to be chrome, was that standard these days, or was it polished aluminium ?

Hi All,

A picture of a the covers, please take a look at the lower cover, it doesn't seem to be polished aluminum, it seems to be chrome, it does remind on that cheap plastic chrome parts from the modern bikes, however it's from a very early CB72 rear shock.

The other thing that is different, that this is straight, from top to bottom and measures 85 mm in length.
