Well, here it is in all it's glory, just as rough as I said it was, that's my spare time taken up for some time now until it's back on the road, I'll post more as I progress, I'm in no rush so there may well be some time between posts.

It don't look too bad John, the missing parts are a pain, mainly the tin bits but they are available. The down side is they seem to be mainly in the states, even then most are reasonable till the shipping costs are added and if it's above a certain price her majesty wants some import duty before they will deliver. The mistake I made was buying bits as I discovered they were broke or missing, this meant, even for a gasket or o-ring I paid a minimum postage of £14 from CMS in Holland. I do have a nice collection of plastic key rings though. By the way, their web site is very useful as an on line parts manual. I got parts from all over including from Tailand which, despite the dubious reputation, the parts I bought were excellent. The only real rubbish I bought were some new rims from India, they were about £30 for the pair and included postage. They were truly awful but to my surprise when I contacted them they gave me a full refund. There are lots of very knowlegible people on this site who are happy to help but worth using the search first as most of the questions have been posted and answered.

I dropped the engine out this afternoon as it's seized, more of that when I delve into the innards.

I used Thailand a couple of years ago for some Cub parts, Geoff, and like you found their offerings more than acceptable. I know what you mean about CMSNL, I've made exactly the same mistake in the past, as you say, they are very useful for identifying parts from their website.

As for the rest, I'll collect them as I go along.

Looks a good project. I may be able to help out with spares here and there as I have several fro restoration.

Have you got a tank? David Silver had a tank with Panels fro £35 at Stafford today, depending what year your bike is.

What you have looks pretty solid.

You have an original horn John well done.... a project indeed will be good to see it in a years time. Do you know the year.

Not at all sure of the year at the moment, the frame number is CA78 81005568 if someone could give me an approximation.

G, no fuel tank or seat at the moment.

If its a CA78 John you have to be looking at one of the last produced 1967 or 68 maybe but the number will tell you better.
