I find it hard to believe a '65 would be worth more than a '61, or a '62 for that matter.

Personally, I consider the change in fork styles to designate the "early" and "late" models. Because of this, I consider the '65 (up to CB77F-1030130) to be the last of the "early", but that is my own personal designation, with no knowledgeable backup. For this reason, I'd take a '65 over a later model, and then ideally a CB77F-1001730 or earlier as these bikes shared the "reverse-needle" speedo unit...

...but I'm a kind of a freak like that.

I can see the '65 CL being more valuable as it was the first year with a 305 motor.
