Another question for you fellas:

I have dilly-dallied on the brass tube for the petcock. I need to get one to replace the totally deteriorated one that was in the petcock. It seems to measure at 3/16 OD, is that correct?

I would just rebuild the whole thing. A kit is readily available,has everything u need including the tube.

Peter, it has been rebuilt, it was one of the first things I did. The kit I got didn't have the tube. K&S has brass tubes, they're available at hobby shops. I can bring the old one with me to one and match them up, but I was just curious if anyone knew the OD of the original.

Unlikely that Honda would have used an imperial size so 5mm might be closer.

I think the o/d of that pre-reserve tube is 4mm, G-mate.

I thought so, Graham. Well, I was able to source the correct tube from LM. Another (little) problem solved with help from my friends! You guys have as much to do with the Old Girl coming back to life as I do.
