What a concept - A Girl Bringing Back Her 1966 Super Hawk
I might move the control box up to the tool box. It's a bit exposed where it is, now. Also, Ed suggested it should be mounted where water can't get to it. And, I would prefer as stock an appearance as I can get. That's why I "measure three times, cut once" (and don't like to drill holes)! Ed suggested it go on one of the forward surfaces of the toolbox, in fact he describes it in the electronic ignition thread. Sounds like a plan to me!

Forks and centerstand are installed. I need to put some oil in the forks, but not just yet. Control unit for the ignition and maybe the coils will get put on today. If I can get that done I might mount the headlight bucket. Wow, she'll start looking like a bike again!

More progress! The big thing is that she is standing on HER FEET for the first time in a year. The day where she will be running is drawing ever closer....

The gas tank is not yet painted. It's on there for "effect". The rear fender needs to be prepped and painted, as well. The last things I'll prep and paint are the air filter covers. I am going to clean the tail light bracket and the lens. It's going to look "original"! The seat pan needs attention, and my plan for it is to wire brush it and paint it without pulling the the seat apart. Other than the "Honda" badge being worn off and a small tear, the seat is in "good nick", and I've no reason to mess it up by trying to disassemble it!
I'm up to installing the exhaust system, then I need to wage war with the shocks to get them back together. The electrics, except for the headlight shell, are finished. I'm still cleaning and polishing the handlebars and switches. I've got to put a little dab of RTV on the seal on the horn, where the wires exit it. I used the original seal, and it's a tad tired! I'm a little concerned about the swingarm. I painted it with DupliColor, and I don't know if it is going to stand up to use. Has anyone used Duplicolor on the swingarm? I've noticed it can chip pretty easily. I may - may - pull it off and redo it with 66Autocolor. I have to put the new tires on the wheels, but I need to do as much cleaning and polishing on those wheels as I can without pulling the rims off the hubs. I think I can do a fair job on the spokes and hubs assembled. The rims - well, we'll see! They have a LOT of pitting on them. 1965 CB77 305 Super Hawk
