Looks a beauty!

I just don't like black bikes, unless they are made by Velocette or Matchless......

The fenders on the new T100 Bonneville are some kind of satin black. Must try harder.

If you get one, I'm sure you'll like it.

Thanks, G. I'm sure you could easily remedy any paint discrepancy if you had a Bonnie.

That Matchless is gorgeous. Wish I could find one here, but it's just as well since I've lost much of my storage space anyway.

I'm sure that Bonneville will last you a long time. I find my legs are too short for most modern bikes so I was pleased to find the 2017 range lower, narrower and lighter.

Yes - might be tempted to do the fenders myself if or when the opportunity arrives.

The Matchless has been in the family since 1966. It's frightening to realise that I've now owned it for twice as long as my Uncle had it....

G,
I can sympathize with the problem of modern bike seat height. It's the main reason I chose the Bonneville, besides wanting a modern lightweight standard. I sat on a used SE model in a bike shop showroom and it just felt great. It reminded me of my Superhawk. That particular machine had already been sold, so I found one elsewhere, used, but with only 2k miles on the clock. I'm just loving it. I could only wish for wire wheels instead of mags. Hope you have a chance to try one sometime.

Well I arrived home from my latest trip 6 days ago but after 2 days I was back on the road again.

First real day back today and there hasn't been much activity. I've been making a couple of kickstart bushes for a friend and they should be finished tomorrow.

These two 'special' bolts dropped out of my luggage. The first is the top engine bolt which was 8mm on the '61 bike compared with 10mm on the later ones. Easy enough to buy an M8 x 135 bolt but not one with a big head on it like this one... Thanks LM!

The other one is the long rear brake torque arm bolt. Longer than the later ones because the brake stay is the wider aluminum one. I was going to make one but this one cropped up on US eBay at the last minute.

Short home visit this month. Off on my travels again today. At least I got those kickstarter bushes finished...... :-)

I'm making the pilgrimage to the Barber Festival this weekend. So if anyone wants to meet up, drop me a PM with your cellphone number and I'll swap details.

It's going to be a short trip as I have to get back to the big bike show at Stafford the following weekend. Ahh - the jetsetting life!!
