WANTED/NEEDED... dimmer swtich parts or the whole enchilada
WANTED/NEEDED... dimmer swtich parts or the whole enchiladaOk, so I took apart the dimmer switch on my 1965 CA77 Dream because the headlight was intermittend and a piece fell out that I cannot locate. It hit me in the foot and, if you've ever worked on cars or bikes at all, you know it probably ricocheted and is somewhere near Cancun by now. The missing piece is the detent ball that keeps the switch in high or low. I need either that ball or a new (replacement) dimmer switch. Can anyone help me out? Honda parts catalog shows it as part number 35300-284-810.
I have an old switch and a bunch of loose parts including a ball, let me know what you need. Send your address to swmrescue@cox.net and I'll get them in the mail tomorrow.

You are very kind. I appreciate that. I did, however, find the ball after scouring the garage for an hour on my hands and knees, and I met a vintage Japanese bike enthusiast in my neck of the woods who happened to have the spring I needed. It keeps detent on the switch contacts and also keeps the ball bearing in the detent grooves for a nice affirmative switch feel. Putting all those parts into the switch at the same time? Total bitch but I got it done. Had to remove the switch and harness from the bike and work on the carpeted floor. Thanks again.
