Carb spacers

Post by davomoto » Sun Jan 22, 2012 7:15 pm

I am in need of 3 carb spacers for a CL72. I have a dozen of them for the 305s, but only one for the 22mm carbs. Parts to trade or will buy outright!

Thanks, Davo

I did get a response from a real member that may have the spacers that I need. I also got this e-mail today.

I just saw your wanted advert and I'm writing to know if you are still
interested in the purchase as I have got items that you will need. Let
me know if you are still in the market for the wanted advert. What's
your phone number?

Sounds similar to that guy that popped up last fall calling himself Randy Belly.
e3steve had some info about those 4470 prefix phone numbers being used by scammers.

Davo

Here's an explanation of 070 numbers from the BBC. It is indeed a scam. They look like cellphone numbers to most of us here but clearly not.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/w ... 527127.stm

Most cellphone numbers in the UK begin with a '7' in the UK but the second digit is usually '7', '8' or '9'.

I'll look through my inlet spacers today, just in case. If I can find any, I'll get myself an '070' number set up ready .... :-)

Cheers
