Greetings,
Looking for a turn signal switch and correct replacement turn signals all around, for a '68 CB77. Also need a right-side mirror.
TIA,
Scott
Light Parts for CB77Mirrors, last time I checked were still available straight from Honda. Nice, clean, unused and still in the package! I got a set 2 years ago.
"Correct" turn signals needs to be changed to "Period correct" since none of them came here with them. Japanese domestic models did, I hear, have them, but aside from a trip to Japan to search the boneyards, I don't know where you would find them. Some people did put "Turn signal kits" on their bikes, but these were aftermarket affairs not made by Honda. The old Accessory catalog does show one of these sets apparantly approved for use by Honda, but I've never actually seen a real live one of these on a bike, either in person or in a photo. Seems there weren't many takers. Signals weren't mandatory for a few years hence. I have seen sets which used the early 70's style signals offered aftermarket used on a few bikes, but they weren't available til later, and, I'm afraid, have gone the way of the dinosaur since. A resourceful person could cobble together a "Close enough" set using a set of CB350 signals(still available aftermarket)or some old style "bullet" lights(see your local Harley custom chop shop) and just about any old style relay. The turn signal switch is a little "strap on the handlebar" affair you can usually find through your local vintage Brit-bike specialist. Happy hunting! Joe Light Parts for CB77Joe,
Thanks for the info. I'll check with Honda on mirrors. The bike has working signals on it, so I'll hang with them for a bit. Right now I am trying to replace the throttle cable, and found that the replacement that came with the bike is too long. I'll order another one shortly. Scott
