Honda CA77/CA72 Starter Button Handlebar Assembly.

Post by deafanddiabetic » Wed Sep 30, 2015 1:06 pm

This sounds silly, but I did not know that I had an electric starter on my CA72. Never needed it because the kickstarter works just fine. But, as it's going back together it'd be nice to have it "complete." My bike did not come with a right side handlebar button for the starter.

Does anybody have a spare right side handlebar switch available?

Or know of a replacement that might work (it's basically a horn switch, right?) maybe from like a Cub or something?

That doesn't make sense! The housing is part of the throttle assembly and also contains the turn signal switch.

Is the wiring even in place for the starter button????

US-spec Dreams did not come with turn signals. That's one of the differences between "C" and "CA" models.

He may have a CL throttle assembly (no starter button).

Just the switch, or the whole assembly?

Literally that right there is what I'm looking for.

Mine doesn't have turn signals or a flasher, the horn and hi/lo are on the left hand side. Simple!

I can help some, but I don't know whether I can provide you with everything. That's why I asked whether you needed just the switch or the whole assembly. I'll send you a PM.

Sorry to jump on this old thread but does anyone know the part number for the small screw and brass spring type thing shown in these pictures? I pulled mine apart and something very dodgy has gone on in there.
I looked up the schematic on CMSNL and they dont list the parts....
