You've got the wrong part number for the needle. That is for the CB77/CL77. For the CA77 it is 16151-266-004.

You sure? I read that honda switched to the 275, which is claimed to be the same as the Keihin K24231 and the Keyster D3, on later models of the CA78. Not true?

Here is how the needles go

CA77 K22401 part 16151-266-004

CB77 K24231 part 16151-275-004

CL77 K24304 Part 16151-278-004

If my memory serves me correctly the CA77 needles are a bit longer than the CL/CB77 needles. The CB and CL carries their separate model codes because the CL needle does have a different taper than the CB needle. If I have the chance when I get home I will look. I can't upload pics from my iPod to this site.

Here is the photo showing the difference in needles. The top needle is a NOS CA77 needle K22401 which is different and longer than the CB77 needle K24231 shown on the bottom.

I see your point. I wonder how these two compare to the Keyster D3 that I have in the carb now? I have read that the D3 is equivilant to the 275. So, maybe thats not the right way to go. Would you be willing to sell the 266 needle?

Thanks for the help.

John
