JIS screws for fork boot set ringsJIS screws for fork boot set ringsI'm looking for a set of 4 screws for my front fork boot retaining rings. I'm told they're JIS thread (4mm I believe) and real hard to come by. Anyone know of a source for these screws?
Ohio Cycle shows some 4mm maybe a little too long
also http://www.cmsnl.com/ shows them in stock 66 dream, 78 cb750k, 02fz1, 09 wing
Check with Joseph Tubb at icemanjat@hotmail.com. He carries JIS threaded fasteners and you'll see him on EBay occasionally selling tank emblem screws. Do NOT buy any part numbers with a
"-0A" suffix. They are the newer ISO metric thread pitch screws. George
Oh, and another thing. There are two "JIS" screw thread pitches; one is the original Japanese thread pitch on the earlier bikes. There is a current JIS thread pitch which is the same as the newer ISO thread pitch. For example, if you look at the online McMaster-Carr catalog you will see they list JIS threaded fasteners that ar not the old thread pitch. Honda part numbers showing the "-0A" suffix are the newer JIS/ISO pitch.
